Sermon: Getting Your Answer
Text: Luke 8:43 – 48
Thesis: Persist Till You Have The Master’s Attention
I. Persistence Overcomes Resistance.
A. There seems to be a little resistance in all our requests.
B. Persistence is the antidote.
II. Worship Woos God’s Heart.
A. God is drawn to those who worship.
B. Praise and worship precede a breakthrough.
III. Faith Is Tenacious.
A. Faith worships when the answer isn’t immediate.
B. Faith knows that God’s answer is best.
Conclusion: Man has accomplished many things on this earth and even beyond. But there are things he has not and may never be able to do or overcome on his own. In our lifetimes, we will frequently find ourselves at this place. And when we do this is when we need to place ourselves in the character of this widow. Ask God to bring justice and help over that which is burdening your heart and attacking your spirit. Ask Him to partner with you against the Adversary. Commit to doing your part and letting God do His. Don’t be a quitter. This is the way to get your answer.
