Sermon: Thanksgiving Is Not The Only Occasion For Thanks
Text: Revelation 11:16 – 18
Thesis: We Should Set A Pattern Of Thanks.
I. Thank The Lord For Defeating The Grave.
A. The grave was one of man’s greatest fears.
B. In so doing Jesus blazed a trail for us to follow.
II. Thank The Lord For Promising Us To Return.
A. He didn’t leave us here to struggle.
B. The time of His return grows closer each day.
III. Thank The Lord For Defeating Satan.
A. Satan has been a master of deceit.
B. Satan is close to his final days.
Conclusion: I am thankful to have the truth to share with you this morning as we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving. This truth is bigger than the holiday and is to be celebrated regularly. Jesus has blazed a trail for us to a place where there are no cemeteries. Because death will be completely defeated for all time. Jesus will come back and rescue us from this dark world and take us to a land of endless light. And we will have the best seats in the house to see God completely defeat Satan. I’m excited and thankful to have these blessings and more. Let’s celebrate together.
