Sermon: Real Love
Text: Matthew 14:24 & 25
Thesis: Miracles Only Happen To Those Who Need Them.
I. You Cannot Have A Comeback Without A Setback.
A. Call them whatever, but they’re coming.
B. They just make the comeback that much sweeter.
II. Everyone Wants A Miracle, But No One Wants To Be Where They Need One.
A. We desire to move through life with smooth sailing.
B. The perfect storm is sometimes required for the miraculous to happen.
III. It’s In That Moment When You Feel Helpless And Hopeless That God Overwhelms Us.
A. God’s Omnipotence will overwhelm your impotence.
B. God has answers and help which has been seen before.
Conclusion: Do we want to see miracles happen around us? Then we must need and believe God for them. If He’s not in your boat, then you’re going to have to ride out the storm and hope for the best. Sometimes you may make it and other times maybe not. But no one has ever been sorry for inviting Jesus along for their life’s journey. I’m asking you, to step out like Peter, even during the storm and escort Jesus aboard. Do this and you’ll never feel defeated again.
