Sermon: Are We Taking It Seriously?
Text: Matthew 28:18-20
Thesis: We Are Affecting Eternity.

I. This Is A Divine Imperative.
A. It’s an imperative not to be ignored.
B. This is one of the most important things shared with the church.

II. This Is Given By God.
A. This not one of man’s good ideas.
B. This is a command from God Himself.

III. This Is For The Sake Of Lost People.
A. The lost matter to the Father.
B. The degree of heed we give to the Great Commission has a direct bearing on the outcome.

Conclusion: The Great Commission is to be taken as seriously as anything in the life of a Christian. It’s not a suggestion or a task for only a few within the church. It’s not for the special forces of any congregation, but for all within the Lord’s Army. Let’s not treat it as the Great Omission. This is a God ordained opportunity for each saint to directly be involved with eternal affairs. We can change the eternal destiny of others for God.
