Sermon: Yes, To His Offer
Text: Ephesians 2:8-10
Thesis: Let The World See How Good An Offer The Gospel Is.
I. We Can Have This Offer If We Will Humble Ourselves Before The Lord.
A. This means admitting you’re in deep and there’s nothing you can do about it.
B. Grace and forgiveness has been paid for in full for all those who come to confess.
II. We Can Have This Offer If We Will Admit Our Waywardness.
A. Sin is a reality of men from all over.
B. There’s no boasting of our efforts with sin, but of His on our behalf.
III. We Can Have This Offer If We Say Yes To Christ. (2 parts)
A. The first part is yes I have sinned.
B. The second part is admitting that Jesus is the only way to salvation.
Conclusion: As with any offer, there is a time limit for this offer to be accepted. In this life we are each allotted a set number of days to live and invest. Have you listened well to God’s offer and have you accepted it? If you have not, then now is your opportunity. You and I who are in the body of Christ are the advertisement for the Gospel. And when we share it we are being contagious, as God has requested. You can’t take advantage of this offer on your own and hammer it out yourself. You have to humble yourself and take His offer, His way.
