Sermon: An Expanding Kingdom
Text: Acts 2:42-47
Thesis: We’re Called To Reach People

I. We Are To Rescue People.
A. No one waited for the scream of a needy person.
B. No one was excluded.

II. We Are To Redeem People.
A. Evangelism was always job one.
B. The church gathers to bless and share.

III. We Are To Recruit People.
A. Praising God has been underestimated.
B. Their meetings were not just an occasion to eat.

Conclusion: The Lord has had a vision for His church. It has not changed and is well documented in His Word. We’ve looked at it in both Matthew 16 & Acts 1. But not here is Acts 2 we see it in full display. It’s so well documented that we can and should follow the example of the first century church. We are called to be contagious, and this is how and it is why we ought to be in the cultural climate of today. Let’s pray that we are up to the task.
