Sermon: Getting The Maximum Impact
Text: Matthew 9: 12 & 13
Thesis: Mercy must win the day.

I. The First Important Trait Is Authenticity.
A. We need to see sin as the spiritual sickness it is.
B. We need to be real and truth is always on our lips, not randomly.

II. The Second Trait Is Compassion.
A. This is the basis of the lesson of verse 13.
B. Compassion is the fruit of love.

III. The Third Trait is Sacrifice.
A. It’s shameful that the church has become known for collecting dead cats.
B. Until the church is willing to do whatever it takes to reach the lost, we’re only spinning our tires.

Conclusion: I will apologize for climbing up on my soapbox. I have not been the contagious Christian that I want to be now. I see the day of the Lord coming in a hurry. There is no way the world can last going in the direction it is currently going. The church is being tested on every side. Being one is no place for a sissy. If you chose to be one, then go all in and be contagious. Share the truth often and without reservation. The sick are all about us.
