Sermon: Has Anyone Else Heard?
Text: Deuteronomy 4:32 – 34
Thesis: God Is Able To Speak To His People.
I. God Has Chosen To Speak Through Doors.
A. We also call these opportunities.
B. Even closed doors are opportunities.
II. God Has Chosen To Speak Through Dreams.
A. Sometimes these dreams are literal.
B. Sometimes these dreams are what we’re driven to or by.
III. God Has Chosen To Speak Through People.
A. In the OT God used prophets, judges, kings and others.
B. In the NT God used prophets, apostles, evangelists, pastors and teachers. (Eph. 4:11)
Conclusion: God is a big and powerful God. His voice spoke to those who Moses addressed his words. And no generation has missed an opportunity to hear His voice. Listen intently for His voice beginning in the Word. This is where we learn to listen to all the other languages He chooses to speak through. It could be through doors, dreams or even people. He is not silent. He is still about doing great and awesome deeds.
