Sermon: The Relationship Of Faith, Hope And Love To The Resurrection
Text: I Peter 1:3 – 9
Thesis: The Resurrection Is The Foundation To It All.

I. We Have Resurrection Hope. (1:3 & 4)
A. This is a reinvigorating hope.
B. Jesus gives us real hope through the resurrection.

II. We Have Resurrection Faith. (1:5 – 7)
A. Faith which is fueled by the resurrection.
B. Faith which shields us till the return of our Savior.

III. We Have Resurrection Love. (1:8 & 9)
A. Peter’s draws attention to the love of the saints.
B. He also draw attention to the love of the Savior.

Conclusion:
What Peter says here in our passage is true today. We too have not seen Jesus, as Peter did, but we have love for Him due to His resurrection. We weren’t present for the resurrection, but we can experience the hope it brings. We didn’t see the empty tomb, but we can place our faith in the Christ who walked out of it, alive and well.
