Coronavirus Update: March 30

Published March 31, 2020 by MPCC in Community, Events, Lessons, Sermons

Good Morning Mount Pleasant family,
Bro John here bringing you a few updates and information.

Starting this week (May 30) we will be trying to limit access to the church building. This will serve several purposes: 1) To reduce operating costs. 2) To reduce the need for cleaning, as we are discontinuing normal cleaning for the month of April. So if you’re in the building, please clean and disinfect behind yourself. Note that all nonessential things have been cut off at the building. This includes the ice maker and hot water heaters. We would appreciate your help with this.

Our church operates on free will offerings and we are trying to do all we can to be responsible with the funds we’re been trusted with. Remember we are still reliant on the tithes and offerings of the congregation. We still have monthly bills and want to be able to pay them all in a timely manner.  There’s a link on this web site for you to give, but you can still mail your offerings to the church, or even to Russell Spain’s address as he helping us with collections during this time.

Also, make note that our revival will be canceled this year and Dewayne Liebrandt’s visit in April will also be canceled. We want to be safe and responsible during this time and honor the requests of both the CDC and our governor.

We will continue our weekly worship on Facebook on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM and our Immerse Bible Study on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM via Skype. To join us there just get a Skype account and send me a link and you can join us.  I’m listed there under my e-mail address christ2u4life@suddenlink.net.

Now, as we work through this new month of social distancing remember neither God or your church family is far from you. Let’s be in prayer and in touch with one another during this time.
