Sermon: Three Things Which can Destroy a Person
Text: Ephesians 4:31 & 32; 5:1 – 6
Thesis: Some Things Are Better Removed From Our Lives.

I. Anger Can Destroy A Person.
A. Rage is the most destructive type of anger.
B. General anger is important too.

II. Pride Can Destroy A Person.
A. We have been warned of this.
B. Pride is a motivator for so many impure things.

III. Unforgiveness Can Destroy A Person.
A. We’re being urged to give good will unto others.
B. We’re urged to forgive with the same spirit as the Lord.

Conclusion:
I think self destruction is the saddest and most destructive type. When you know something is not good or beneficial to you, but you hold on to it anyway. These three things we’ve looked at today will destroy a person. It happens from the inside out. Their hearts become calloused and hard. The grace of God can no longer be renewed as though the access to the tree of life is denied. And the result is a slow painful, spiritual death. These three things will eat you alive if untreated. Paul urged us to seek treatment. I urge you as well, but most of all the Christ of Calvary urges you.
