David Jones will be the revival speaker this year. Revival will be May 4-6, 2022 at Mount Pleasant Christian Church. Services will begin at 7:00 PM. Please invite family and friends for three evenings of inspiring messages on “Springing Forward Knowing We Have: Enemies To Face, Dangers To Avoid and Opportunities To Take”, base on Philliians 3:12-14.

David Jones lives in Mechanicsville, VA with his wife, Sharon who he’s been married to for 47 years.  He just retired from the located ministry and is now a Traveling Evangelist accepting invitations to fill-in preach at local churches who do not have ministers or invitations to preach Revivals, Seminars, or Preaching Rallies and Family Camps.

They have two children:

• Shari Wallace, our daughter, is a stay-at-home mom who has homeschooled all of her 4 boys & she is also the Children’s Director at Movement Christian Church.  She is married to Bobby Wallace, Lead Preacher to the Movement Christian Church in Knightdale, N.C. (Shari and Bobby are both graduates of Roanoke Bible College which is called MACU: Mid-Atlantic Christian University now).  Bobby and Shari have 4 sons: Luke, 18 yrs. old; Daniel, 14 yrs. old; Josiah, 11 yrs. old; and Andrew, 4 yrs. old.  They also adopted a girl, Robin, when she was 15 and is now 27 yrs. old.
• E.L. Jones, our son, is the Preacher at the Compass Christian Church, Mechanicsville, VA.  (E.L. is a graduate of Roanoke Bible College which is now called MACU) His wife’s name is Christie (she is a graduate of Hollins University) and they have one son and one daughter:  Aaron David, 10 yrs. old; and Hailey Lynn who is 9 yrs. old.

David has been a Preacher of  God’s Word for about 50 years. 

He preached at :

1. the Meadowood Church of Christ in Newark, DE for about 2 years while he was in college at Eastern Christian College, BelAir, MD.
2. The Pole Green Church of Christ in Mechanicsville, VA for 28 years.
3. The Northampton Church of Christ in Hampton, VA for 8-1/2 years.
4. The Poplar Chapel Church of Christ in Jamesville, NC for 7-1/2 years and then decided to retire so he could travel to conduct evangelistic meeting. 

He received his Four-Year College certificate from Eastern Christian College in BelAir, MD in 1976 and then he received his B.A. degree from Lincoln East Christian College in BelAir, MD in 1996.  David has in the past volunteered at the local Volunteer Rescue Squad as an EMT and was the Chaplain for the squad for many years and has worked in many areas of community service.  He also was the Chaplain for the Jamesville Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad.

David’s wife, Sharon, has helped out in his ministry in many areas throughout the years.  Now, besides being a grandmother she also has her own business where she does small business accounting and is a Computer Software Trainer.

David is also the son of the late Eddie Jones, who was a well-known gospel writer and singer from the Mechanicsville, VA area.  David also has 2 older brothers who are also Church of Christ preachers:  Ronnie Jones & Gary Jones.
