Sermon: Oh Yes, You Have A Calling
Text: I Corinthians 1:26-29
Thesis: You Are Where God Desires You.

I. Only God Can Call You.
A. Being called is not the same as being hired.
B. This call is not only to salvation.

II. Your Job Is Your Sermon.
A. Every day you are preaching an important message.
B. Be prepared always to give an answer.

III. Your Colleagues Are Your Congregation.
A. It’s not about a salary.
B. Serve the ones you have access to.

Conclusion: The gospel is a marvelous and life changing message. But
it does nothing left here in the church like a forgotten Sunday school
book. Don’t leave it here. Pick it up and take it with you. Take it to
work with you. God has called you to a task and that task is to share
the hope of Christ. What you do at work tomorrow is your sermon.
Those around you are your congregation. This is not just a calling. You
have been commissioned by God to take His message. Mark Batterson
once said, “Sometimes the greatest sermon is doing a good job at a bad
job or doing a thankless job with a grateful heart.” May God bless your
work.
