Sermon: What Are You Going To Do With Your Dash?
Text: I Corinthians 13:1 – 3
Thesis: Love Is What It’s All About.

I. Paul Said Without Love He Was Nothing.
A. He contrasted love with spiritual accomplishments.
B. Love is the point of life.

II. This Is Also True For Accomplishments In Any Arena.
A. Life is not about things or notoriety.
B. Without love you have rolled snake eyes.

III. Love Is The Ball Game.
A. No matter what you win at, the absence of love is a loss.
B. Nothing will matter without it.

Conclusion: You know having gone back and read the parable of the rich fool, I discovered something. Here was a man who was alone, talking to himself. Asking himself the hard questions about what he should do and should he build bigger barns and such. I think being alone here and even in eternity might be the most frightening thing for me. If we get to end of our game, and we have not love, we will be alone and we will lose. But not matter what, as everything is on loan from God, everything will go back into the box.
