Sermon: It’s Not The Place, But The Who
Text: I Kings 19:12 & 13
Thesis: God May Whisper At Any Time.

I. Samuel Found His Whispering Spot In Shiloh. (I Samuel 3:19 -21)
A. Samuel was here due to a promise.
B. Samuel comes face to face with His life’s purpose while here.

II. David Found His Whispering Spot In The Cave Of Adullam. (I Samuel 22)
A. Sometimes God must nudge us where He can speak.
B. It’s here that God speaks and brings all the parts together.

III. Elijah Found A Whispering Spot At Mount Carmel. (I Kings 18:18)
A. God can use a troublemaker.
B. No more wavering between opinions.

Conclusion: So yes, it might be in church where you hear God whisper. For Samuel it was at the tabernacle. But it could be in a cave or even high on a mountain. But listen well and live a life which is open to His voice and leading. Let Him know that you’re willing to listen and follow and then the sky is the limit for what God can do through us.
