Sermon: Trials Are No Respecter Of Persons
Text: James 1:15
Thesis: Sin Always Leads To Death.

I. Sin Leads Us Where We Do Not Want To Go.
A. Sin, by definition, is a very descriptive word.
B. Away from God and His glory is not where any want to be found.

II. Sin Steers Us Toward Defeat.
A. Defeat comes with failure.
B. Defeat comes from forfeiture.

III. Sin Ultimately Ends In death.
A. James plots this course clearly.
B. Where there is life there is hope.

Conclusion: You can decide who will be the captain, the one who plots the course, of your life. If sin is allowed to reign, then it will take you where you do not want to go. It will steer you to defeat. And ultimately it always ends in death. But the hope we find in the grace of God changes everything. With Christ and His righteous your course is plotted to an eternity with God.
