Sermon: Do You Want This?
Text: John 5:6; Luke 12:48
Thesis: All Blessings Come With Responsibility.
I. Getting Well Would Mean The Man Had To Get A Job.
A. Someone once said, “Be careful what you ask for.”
B. This man would need to brush up his resume’.
II. Getting Well Meant He’d Have To Use His Legs.
A. Everything, we have is on loan from God.
B. Use what you have to bring God glory.
III. Getting Well Meant A New Level Of Responsibility To Society.
A. We’re planted on this planet for a reason.
B. You are God’s gift to society in this moment.
Conclusion: So the question is now to you, do you want this? Do you want this life where sin is forgiven, and service is expected? Will you accept the Great Commission and make it your responsibility or like many others treat it like the Great Omission? With the liberating good news of the gospel comes great responsibility. I pray you will take this mantle of responsibility and be the church that Jesus described to Peter.
