Sermon: The Spirit Is Key
Text: I Corinthians 2:14
Thesis: Discernment Comes Only By The Spirit.

I. Discernment Is Important To Recognize Both Closed And Open Doors.
A. Closed doors are important to recognize.
B. Open doors are sometimes recognized more easily.

II. Discernment Is Important To recognizing God-given Dreams.
A. Some dreams are literal.
B. Others are things which come forth from seeds which are planted.

III. Discernment Is Important To Recognizing Which Desires We Have Are From God.
A. Man is filled with many desires.
B. Godly desires can be discerned.

Conclusion: We can receive communication from God with the same elements as with humans. We can’t see His body language and the tone can’t always be clear either. But God has replaced this with an invaluable help. This help is the Spirit and He will never steer us wrong or lead us astray. But to have and use discernment we’re going to have to be open to the Spirit. May we get a clearer message from God with His help.
