Sermon: Understanding Obedience
Text: Philippians 4:8 & 9
Thesis: Obedience Is Listening To The Right Whisper.

I. Let’s Tune In To God’s Frequency.
A. There are many frequencies.
B. Now we need to learn to tune in.

II. Let’s Turn Up The Volume.
A. A message isn’t much good if it’s not heard.
B. We just need to find ways to increase the volume.

III. Let’s Boldly Obey His Whispers.
A. Let’s allow Him to be Lord completely.
B. Live for the sound of His voice.

Conclusion: Will you “give ear” to God? It’s the only way we can please Him, serve Him and be obedient to Him. It’s not for the faint of heart, ill-equipped or the apathetic. God is always speaking, but only those truly listening will hear. I pray that you will tune in the right frequency, turn the volume up and obey His whispers.
