Sermon: Make Your Choice Wisely
Text: I Corinthians 10:3 – 5
Thesis: We Need To Dismantle Strongholds.

I. Strongholds Can Destroy Marriages.
A. Marriages aren’t meant to be like war.
B. Let God be the guardian of your marriage.

II. Strongholds Can Devastate Our Children.
A. Paul addresses our thoughts here in this passage.
B. Our children are one of our greatest accomplishments.

III. Strongholds Can Lay Waste To Our Personal Lives.
A. Our world is full of false reasoning or logic.
B. Another stronghold is anything which competes for God’s place.

Conclusion: Sitting here today many of us may have fought some of the mentioned strongholds which Paul mentions here. Others of us may be in the middle of our war. And yet others, haven’t seen them for what they are. But know this, Paul gives us the beginning of the cure. At the end of our passage and verse 5 he writes, “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” If we do this then Satan cannot make a stronghold in your life. Let’s make this a priority in our lives.
