Sermon: Using Stress To Our Advantage
Text: James 1:2
Thesis: It’s Only A Matter Of Time.

I. Most Of Us Count It Joy When We Escape The Trials Of life.
A. The experience of trials is inescapable.
B. God can use any experience for good.

II. Experiencing Trials Is Not An If, But A When.
A. Being a Christian in America has been easy.
B. The response to trials is extremely important.

III. No One Avoids This Experience.
A. It is unfortunately predictable.
B. Some will pass the test and others will not.

Conclusion: Stress happens. Trials come upon the faithful. It doesn’t mean you’ve done anything wrong. It means you are in a unique family of faith. Therefore, we must be people of the Word. We don’t want to be misinformed, nor do we want to mislead others, amid their struggle. We struggle and are tired to build us up for the long journey of faith. We are tested because of the commitment we’ve made. So yes, I will attempt to count it joy when I face trials.
