Sermon: Backward Thinking
Text: Mark 3:9 & 10
Thesis: Use Truth To Make Forward Progress.

I. Some Think They Will Wait Till They’re Older To Serve God.
A. The world is in search of a good time.
B. All we truly have is now.

II. Some Believe They Have Done Too Much To Be Forgiven.
A. I believe all means all.
B. It’s not the depth of sin, but the strength of grace which really matters.

III. Some Stick To Their Opinion Over The Word.
A. All opinions based on the wisdom of man are judged by God’s truth.
B. Nothing has more authority than God’s Word.

Conclusion: I offer this hope to all those pressing forward. God is pulling with you in your quest to stand for and share truth. He will help us when we get knocked down and discouraged. Do your best and God will do the rest. The Lord wants to keep you moving forward, even if it’s only a few inches at a time. But don’t let backward thinking win the day.
