Sermon: The Privilege Of Choice
Text: Joshua 24:15
Thesis: You Get To Decide

I. There Is No Greater Privilege Than That Of Choice
A. Having a choice is God’s gift to us.
B. Making wise and godly choices is our gift back to Him.

II. This Privilege Offsets Any Injustice
A. This means the injustice done by us.
B. It also means the injustice done to us.

III. This Privilege Of Free Will Offsets And Mistakes.
A. We must deal with our mistakes.
B. We must deal with the mistakes of others too.

Conclusion: Going back to the cross, the choices there looked bleak for the two men on either side of Jesus. The one who mocked Jesus was angry. He was angry for many reasons. Angry because the choice he wanted wasn’t afforded him. He wanted to be off the cross. He was probably angry because of a lifetime of poor and bad choices. Now he was on a cross paying the consequences of these choices. And yet, God in all His glory, looked down and offered him a choice through His Son. This choice was rejected. That is a sad thing. Heaven and glory was only one choice away.
