Sermon: One Story, Two Voices
Text: Matthew 2:18
Thesis: There’s More Than One Voice To Be Heard.
I. Two Events.
A. The first event is about a birth.
B. The second event is about death.
II. Two Journeys.
A. One was leaving home.
B. One was going home.
III. Two Worlds.
A. The world of good and godly.
B. The word of sin and struggle.
Conclusion: Today we travel through a world that is seldom safe, often dangerous, and frequently sad. But on this journey we have the option of choosing which song of life we will sing. We can choose the sad song or the glad song. At Christmas time, because of Jesus our song can be “Joy to the World! The Lord is come!”
