Sermon: This Isn’t Going To Be Easy
Text: 2 Corinthians 10:4 & 5
Thesis: Destroying A Stronghold Isn’t Child’s Play.

I. Strongholds Aren’t Easy Swept Away With A Spiritual Broom.
A. It will take more than merely being spiritual.
B. This takes divine power.

II. Strongholds Can’t Be Fussed With And They Flee.
A. Speaking with a stronghold just isn’t enough.
B. Strongholds serve one purpose, to pull you away from God.

III. Strongholds Can’t Be Ignored Till They Disappear.
A. Do problems or issues ever go away?
B. But there’s more than just taking these thoughts captive.

Conclusion: All this labor is to be prompted by, supported by and blessed by much prayer. What Paul speaks of is the will of God in our lives. It’s hard work and must be accompanied by the power of God through the Holy Spirit. But dealing with sin is serious business and calls for desperate decisions and actions. Until we acknowledge this, we really can’t win this war we’re in.
