Sermon: What Changes You’ll See
Text: 2 Corinthians 7:10
Thesis: Repentance Is About Change.

I. Repentance Will Change The Desires Of Your Heart.
A. Before, the things of God aren’t a priority.
B. After, we are consumed with pleasing God.

II. Repentance Will Change The Direction Of Your Life.
A. Before, we are the captains of our ships.
B. After, we have a course which is set from that day forward.

III. Repentance Will Change The Destiny Of Your Soul.
A. Before, there is only one direction for the soul of fallen man.
B. After, we are justified before God and all sins are blotted out.

Conclusion: I am reminded of the words of Hosea who wrote, “But let no man bring a charge, let no man accuse another, for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest.” (Hosea 4:4) And why are these words pertinent? Because as a Christian, you are part of the priesthood of believers. Peter said, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (I Peter 2:9) Now is the time for the church to repent and eagerly await the Lord’s return. But even as we do that stay the course, He has plotted for each of us.
