Sermon: The Revealing Resurrection
Text: John 20:1 – 18
Thesis: The Story Of The Resurrection Is Quite Revealing.

I. The Resurrection Reveals The Genius Of God.
A. God knew how man assesses intelligence and ability.
B. This was a masterful plan.

II. The Resurrection Reveals The Power Of God.
A. The day of Christ’s resurrection was the day God’s power was on full display.
B. At the resurrection God took on the greatest powers of all time.

III. The Resurrection Reveals The Love Of God.
A. The resurrection showed that God’s love has no boundaries.
B. Love is revealed in many ways.

Conclusion: The resurrection was both plain and simple. it was described by the gospel writers in simple yet meaningful words. It was not editorialized or recorded in flowery words. The writers as moved by the Holy Spirit wrote in simple factual words to describe this meaningful event. It is an event which is inescapable. By that I mean we will hear about it and we will have to decide as to whether we believe it or not. We will also have to decide to take advantage of this event in our eternal destinies. It’s clear that the resurrection reveals the genius of God, the power of God and the love of God.
