Sermon: What Would It Take To Raise A Man?
Text: Acts 26:7 & 8
Thesis: God Alone, Can Raise A Man.
I. Consider This From A Historical Standpoint.
A. There’s a human perspective.
B. There’s also a divine perspective as well.
II. Consider This From A Scriptural Standpoint.
A. The resurrection would make sense of the OT passages.
B. It’s the crowning truth of Jesus’ teaching.
III. Consider This From A Personal Standpoint.
A. We all long for this hope of the resurrection.
B. But we can’t accomplish it on our own.
Conclusion: Death has long been the enemy of man. He’s run from it, been treated to prevent it and tried to defeat it. But only in the risen Lord do we find One who is big enough, strong enough and caring enough to intervene. Therefore, the church celebrates Easter and the resurrection.
