Sermon: The Four Most Common Regrets
Text: 2 Timothy 4:7 & 8
Thesis: Life Doesn’t Back Up For Anyone.

I. I Wish I’d Love More Deeply.
A. Love’s not meant to be superficial.
B. Love’s meant to go all in.

II. I Wish I’d Laughed More Often.
A. Laughter is good medicine.
B. Laughter doesn’t just happen.

III. I Wish I’d Given More Generously.
A. Giving means caring.
B. Giving means knowing some things are more important than what we can
grab.

IV. I Wish I’d Lived More Boldly.
A. That I stood for something.
B. That I wasn’t pushed or influenced in doing things I didn’t want to do.

Conclusion: I think we all have a certain measure of regrets in life. I mean some things have urgency written all over them. There is the ringing phone, April 15th, a cholesterol level of 415 and others. But this list doesn’t always seem as urgent. Love, laughter, giving and living boldly don’t always seem as urgent. But if you miss these, there will be regret as you gather up the pieces and place them back in the box.
