Sermon: Listen For An Important Announcement
Text: Luke 2:11
Thesis: The Announcement You Can Not Afford To Ignore.

I. This Announcement Confirmed Prophetic Predictions.
A. The prophet Isaiah had predicted the virgin birth of Christ.
B. Micah had also spoke of where Jesus was to be born.

II. This Announcement Brought Hope To A Lost World.
A. A Savior had come.
B. Hope for man was now delivered.

III. This Announcement Established Christ’s Lordship.
A. This was no normal birth.
B. This was the Lord.

Conclusion: It’s His birthday, but we get the gift. This is the announcement which is the difference between life and death. It’s recorded for all time, but clearly not meant to be only shared once a year. Not everyone will pay attention, in fact, many on that night missed it, as well. But one day, no one will be able to miss it’s significance. Paul wrote these words, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” 3 (Phil. 2:10 &11)
