Sermon: Be Thankful For Everything
Text: Colossians 4:2 – 6
Thesis: Thankfulness Lifts Spirits.

I. We Never Run Out Of Things To Be Thankful For.
A. God never stops blessing.
B. Giving thanks is like a celebration.

II. The Idea Of Giving Thanks Is A Command.
A. This isn’t a suggestion.
B. And it’s good for us to do.

III. Giving Thanks Carries A Lot Of Weight.
A. It carries a lot of weight with God.
B. It carries a lot of weight with others as well.

Conclusion: You want a really good reason to be thankful. Just take a trip with me back in time to the garden. There you will find that a moment of ingratitude caused a fall from grace. Our original parents had millions of reasons to be and express thankfulness. But the serpent appealed to Eve and whispered words leading to one thought. That thought was “Don’t you want more?” Don’t let those words drive you from God’s richest blessings. Obey His command and be thankful. Be thankful to God and those He brings in your life to bless. Do it moment by moment and day after day. Just thank Him for everything!
