Sermon: You’re Never Out Of Your League
Text: Philippians 1:19 & 20
Thesis: Stay In League With The Spirit.

I. Jesus was Uninstalling OT Applications And Installing NT Truths.
A. This was a long accepted application.
B. Jesus was implementing truths which would get God’s will done.

II. Jesus Was Adding Reconditioned Reflexes.
A. Normal reflexes don’t highlight God’s grace.
B. These new ones will highlight God’s grace.

III. Jesus Was Showing Us That It’s Easier To Act Like A Christian, Than
To React Like One.
A. Most people focus on the actions they take daily for the Lord.
B. There is only way to accomplish this.

Conclusion: Remember, in the beginning, we said reactions are conditioned reflexes. This means they can be changed in time, with effort and by the grace of God. I can tell you this is what Jesus wanted of the Twelve and of all His disciples. It’s a huge undertaking, but it is His will so that we can achieve His ultimate will. That my friends is the salvation of the world. This reconditioning isn’t easy. In fact, it may be the hardest and last thing sanctified.
