Sermon: Making Sense Of Evil
Text: Colossians 1:21-23
Thesis: We Have The Truth About Evil
I. Evil Is Real And Has No Part With God.
A. Paul speaks of evil behavior here in our passage.
B. He made it clear that man is on dangerous ground.
II. Evil Is Against The Standards Of God And Is Wrong.
A. Evil brings accusations from Satan.
B. Evil leaves it’s mark on all those who partake.
III. We Are Accountable For The Evil We Commit.
A. We are called to continue “in our faith.”
B. We are called to “not be moved from the hope.”
Conclusion: Whether we know or acknowledge it, evil is real. The Bible speaks of it often and God is the Author of it and He cannot lie. (Titus 1:2) Those having evil have no place with God, but they are not without hope. God sent His One and only Son to this earth to die to give them a chance to be restored to Him. Now rest your faith in Him and grow in your faith. This is the way of the contagious Christian.
