Sermon: The Blessings Of Sonship
Text: Galatians 4:4 & 5
Thesis: What A Difference Jesus Makes.

I. We Go From Condemned Orphans To Adopted Children.
A. The imagery of children serves well to illustrate God’s purpose.
B. Adoption is a complicated thing.

II. God Gives Us His Name.
A. There is no salvaging our old names.
B. His name is your new name.

III. God Gives Us A Home.
A. There is no place like home.
B. It’s an exclusive residence.

Conclusion: Adoptive parents know this imagery used here more than anyone. They know what it’s like to feel an empty space inside. Without God, we too feel an emptiness inside. Know this, God is offering to us all adoption. He has sought us out; He has found us; and He’s willing to sign the papers, and accept you completely. What will you decide?
