Sermon: Being A Man To Be Admired
Text: Philippians 4:8 & 9
Thesis: We All Need Men To Admire.

I. We Should Admire Men Who Love God’s Word.
A. Christian men who love the Word of God are essential.
B. It’s perfect acceptable for men to love and express their love for the Word of God.

II. We Should Admire Men Who Talk Openly About Their Faith.
A. We need the testimony of faithful men.
B. Christian men have an opportunity to touch people.

III. We Should Admire Men Who Treat Their Wives Respectfully.
A. Men need to remember that this is a biblical admonition.
B. The world needs to see love and kindness expressed between mates.

IV. We Should Admire Men Who Pay Attention To Their Children.
A. Our kids need more than regular, monetary support.
B. Be a hands-on father.

V. We Should Admire Men Who Place Others First.
A. We need to see more than ourselves.
B. When it comes from the heart, this is extremely meaningful.

Conclusion: Today is Father’s Day. We thank God for men who are admirable. Men whose examples say, “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” (I Cor. 11:1) We need men whose selfless, godly lives speak and encourage all of us.
