Sermon: When We’re Reckless
Text: Numbers 22:21 – 33
Thesis: God Will Get Involved With Our Recklessness.

I. Don’t Be Surprised If God Slows You Down.
A. God will try to slow you down to reconsider.
B. We sometimes rush ahead without taking everything into account.

II. Don’t Be Surprised If God Gets In The Way.
A. God is not a watchmaker.
B. God is a great blocker.

III. God Loves Us Too Much To Sit And Let Us Go Headlong Into Trouble.
A. God’s love is vast and deep.
B. God will go to great lengths to protect us from trouble and harm.

Conclusion: What reckless path are you on or have been on which God may have slowed you down or got in your way rather than letting you go headlong into trouble? Sometimes life is like when a person chooses to drive 30 miles an hour over the speed limit with our lights off on a foggy day going around S curves. We are being very reckless, and God may intercede in any number of ways. He does this not because He wants to limit our fun but because He wants to reduce our chance at harm or trouble. So listen carefully for his voice no matter where it may come.
