Sermon: Trusting God Isn’t Risky
Text: Daniel 3:16 – 18
Thesis: Miracles Are Worth The Risk.

I. These Men Feared God More Than They Feared The King.
A. A healthy fear of God is important.
B. All this must be put in perspective.

II. These Men Would Rather Die Than To Dishonor God.
A. Not even the fear of death could move these men.
B. Dishonoring God is one of the worse things man will ever do.

III. These Men Defied The Earthly King With A Bold Declaration.
A. They defied the rule or law, not the king.
B. This was a commitment to God and His will.

Conclusion: These men could have delivered a multitude of rationalizations to justify their bowing down that day. But God’s will stood and reigned over all these. And because of that these men walked away from the furnace that day, no scorching, no burns and they didn’t even smell like smoke. A miracle was seen, and seeds were planted so that the world would see the One true God glorified.
