September 6, 2015 – Please Don’t Meddle

By John Ormond on September 23, 2013

Sermon: “Please Don’t Meddle”
Text: Luke 5:1 – 6
Thesis: To Have Full Nets We Have To Change Our Fishing.

I. We Listen, Barely Engaged.
A. Many people have an issue with engaging truth.
B. This is when we hear something which makes us a bit uncomfortable.

II. Preacher’s Know More Than You Think.
A. Jesus knew about life too.
B. Preachers merely ask you to cast the nets as Jesus has asked us.

III. We All Need The Spirit Of Peter.
A. This is a positive, affirmative and forward moving response.
B. This is the response the Lord needs from us.

Conclusion:
What a way to live. To go from empty nets to those full to the point of breaking. Friends, that’s what the truth of God’s Word will do in our lives. I don’t know about you, but I just may ask God to meddle in my life more often. I’m tired of coming home with an empty boat.
